The audience was impressed by her character of the character Dr. Erin Jameson in the drama series Hawthorne. With her amazing looks and acting talent her character slowly garnered a massive following. When she was twenty, she made her acting debut in the film Campfire Stones. Her other roles in include Jekyll This Means War and Chasing Mavericks. The role she played on Beautiful Now earned her a nomination in the Madrid International Film Festival Award. Most recently, Spencer played Lucy Preston (history professor) in Timeless. Spencer is nominated for Teen Choice Award after her performance in the series received praise from viewers and critics.
