Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks after her first attempt. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. One year later Felix was awarded her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in the distance of 200 meters. The following year, she won her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third of each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
